Mupi Systems and the State University of Montes Claros (Unimontes) have formalized an internship agreement. The summary of Agreement No. 105/2026 was published in the official gazette of the State of Minas Gerais on October 7, 2026, and from that date on, Unimontes students can complete their mandatory curricular internship at Mupi.
The partnership strengthens the connection between the university and the job market. It contributes to training new professionals and expands opportunities for hands-on learning and development for students who are finishing their degrees.
What the agreement establishes
The agreement was signed between the State of Minas Gerais, through Unimontes, as the educational institution, and Mupi Systems, as the host company, which is the organization that receives the interns.
- Type: mandatory curricular internships, the ones that are part of the course curriculum and required to graduate.
- Term: 60 months from publication, which means five years of partnership.
- Funding: the agreement does not involve any transfer of financial resources between the university and the company.
- Signatories: Ivana Ferrante Rebello, for Unimontes, and Lucas Gurgel Praxedes, for Mupi Systems.
Why this partnership matters
For students, the mandatory internship is often their first contact with the routine of a company. With the agreement already in place, the institutional step between university and company is settled, and students can focus on what matters: learning by working on real projects.
For Mupi, it is a way to be closer to the people graduating in the region. The company is headquartered in Montes Claros, the same city as the main campus of Unimontes, and builds platforms such as eAgenda, Meu Atendimento Virtual and eTalentos, as well as custom software for public and private organizations. Hosting interns is also a way to share this day-to-day work with new professionals and to learn from them.
How it works for students
The published agreement covers mandatory internships. For this type of internship, the Internship Commitment Agreement (Termo de Compromisso de Estágio, or TCE), the document that formalizes each internship, is filled out and signed with the student's course coordination office. Contact details for each course are on the Unimontes undergraduate programs page.
For non-mandatory internships, the office in charge at Unimontes is the Student Support Office (Coordenadoria de Apoio ao Estudante, CAE), at cae@unimontes.br.
